"The Amen of Nature...."
The Daisy with it bright white petals soaking up the sun.
The Prairie Crocus has been my most favourite flower.
They grew in abundance in the pasture on the farm where I grew up.
The unmistakeable Sunflower.
Their faces are always pointed toward the sun!
The Wild Rose.
The most fragrant of all the flowers;
in my view!
The Prairie Lily and the Butterfly.
Their bright orange petals are eye-catching!
They are called the Beehive Cactus.
In the pasture on our farm was the place I saw them first.
They were low to the ground and often grew right in the grass.
When they bloomed the flower was so brilliant!
"To see a world in a grain of sand
and heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour."
"For happiness one needs security,
but joy can spring like a flower
even from the cliffs of despair."
Anne Morrow Lindbergh
"THE AMEN OF NATURE IS
ALWAYS A FLOWER."
Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
